Why does question mark not work anymore? Nothing works the way it should!<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If that&#8217;s ever happened to you, you&#8217;ve probably accidentally triggered the language switch hotkey in Windows. In countries where you only have one language installed you may never have this problem, but in Canada I usually get English and French keyboards set up by default.<\/p>\n<p>Windows comes shipped with this hotkey set to default to something like Ctrl + Shift. This is TERRIBLE! I end up hitting it all the time if I&#8217;m not careful. So I usually opt to turn it off the first time I get annoyed by it. Here&#8217;s how:<\/p>\n<p>In Windows 7 you go to Control Panel,<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lilithebowman.com\/images\/turn_off_language_hotkeys\/turn_off_language_hotkey_00.png\" alt=\"Control Panel\" \/><\/p>\n<p>then Region and Language,<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lilithebowman.com\/images\/turn_off_language_hotkeys\/turn_off_language_hotkey_01.png\" alt=\"Region and Language \/&gt;&lt;\/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;then click the tab Keyboards and Languages,&lt;br \/&gt; then click the button on that tab called Change Keyboards,&lt;br \/&gt; &lt;img src=\" \/><\/p>\n<p>in the new window that opens click Advanced Key Settings,<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lilithebowman.com\/images\/turn_off_language_hotkeys\/turn_off_language_hotkey_03.png\" alt=\"Advanced Key Settings\" \/><\/p>\n<p>then click the Change Key Sequence&#8230; button,<br \/>\nthen turn both key sequences to Not Assigned and click OK.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lilithebowman.com\/images\/turn_off_language_hotkeys\/turn_off_language_hotkey_04.png\" alt=\"Change Key Sequence to Not Assigned\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Close everything and now you won&#8217;t accidentally change languages while typing.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve turned off the hotkey, you might want to make sure your default language is set to the one you want.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lilithebowman.com\/images\/turn_off_language_hotkeys\/turn_off_language_hotkey_05.png\" alt=\"Set your default language\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hope this helps!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My keyboard isn&#8217;t working!
