All I want for Christmas is...

Now, if you are an avid gamer and grew up in the 1990's there's no doubt you've seen HMDs or, Head Mounted Displays.

It seems as if the idea had been shelved for quite some time but finally I've found a unit that would actually be worth owning.

May I present to you the  Trimersion - Head Mounted Display (HMD).

The thing that makes this HMD different for me is that 1) it's half the price of 'oldschool' HMDs and 2) it uses a display that supposedly has 922Kilopixels per eye. That's a resolution of over 1024x768! I'm assuming it's a widescreen 1280x720 configuration, but I'm not sure as the description is terse.

"Back in the day" you'd have to pay over a grand for a display that had a resolution of 320x200 or some strange variant thereof.

All I need now is six hundred plus extra dollars to spend on something that's completely a toy!
